Hello

I was wondering if any one has set up a facebook shop?


We are looking at doing and just thought we would see what peoples feeling on it are.

Any feedback would be great.

I did not know there was a facebook shop and would also like to hear more about this, so if there is anybody who has one please tell us about it.

I think you have to build your own html into it...i managed to get a template on it looks just like a html code I have also found a few vids on utube that show you how to do it when tabs at the top.

People also talk about FBML code...which i am reading up on at the mo...... but this is where i saw it's cougar towns fan page...on the left hand side you can click shop....

If/when i get more info ill try my best to help you out...if no one else can.

Just to add to that the facebook official fan page for FBML codes is http://www.facebook.com/pages/FBML-Code/175412829152163 there is an application at the side that looks like it talks you through it...but its getting past my bed time so not had time to look....

I've had a sales person trying to get me to sign up to do a Facebook, but I declined as I have not heard anything about no Facebook Shop, only a Facebook page.

there is a fb page ..only heard of the shop but can't seem to find it ..so yes I would be wary

big American companies use it (the example i gave is a US TV show).

Also you can buy templates from template monster....there is nothing dodgy about it....just hasn't kicked off properly yet! Facebook them selves advertise it.......you use your own html...so you build in the buy it now buttons (paypal provide buttons for you to use) so your money is protected by them! That is what i have read so far anyway!

I will be reading more into it tomorrow as it been yet another long day for me....only just got home! all work no play etc etc haha

Not an official Facebook shop, but ShopMania offer a free addon to their price comparison accounts (free or paid) that allows you to have a Shopmania shop on your Facebook account.
