Ebay do it again

Probaly as you all know if you visted my website, we sell compatable inks as part of our inventory. This is not illegal and a whole lot cheaper than the manufacturers own.

Epson every 6 months complain about us to ebay as we list them there very inexpensively, even though everything is disclaimered legaly with trading standards approval. But guess what we get all the ink taken off and barred from listing for 30 days because epson is not happy and ebay are too scared to do anything against them.

Also ebay have changed the way your listings appear leaving you with periods of time when they will not show.

I am not happy with ebay but they are a neccesary evil and they will get worse.

Degsey, there are plenty of website who also sell similar inks, I think epson are being a little small minded and ebay being weak too, do they try to stop them all?

I think that they do a sweep now and again, they tend to go for the cheapest on ebay, we were selling the favorite cartridges at £1.39 inc carriage which probaly p****d them off as they charge 10 times more for the same product.

It is not illegal to sell these items, just to use the word epson and a cartridge number like TO711. However properly disclaimered you can use the trademark to describe your products use and thats were epson and ebay did not look to see if I had done it or not which I did.

Epson want to sell cheap printers and expensive ink, sometimes the printer is sold for less value than the cartridges inside the box.

The other thing that annoys me is that I am a powerseller and they have removed the telephone number from my contact us in the admin area.

What does not change is they still want paying when I am not earning any money from their website.

Degsey69, have you considered selling on http://www.ebid.co.uk ? £50 lifetime membership and you don't pay any listing fees or final value fees. I have sold on the site for over a year and think it is a great alternative/accompaniment to eBay.

RE: Ebay do it again
Just to keep you up to speed on my ebay problem, Epson did give me advice on how to list my inks without upsetting them and even had no problem with me listing them.

However ebay dont care and are keeping the selling restrictions in place.

I have gone to ebid and I hope that they get bigger than ebay because ebay at present are too big for their boots and deserve a slap down, they forget who makes them what they are and thats their customers the sellers and buyers not manufacturers who do not use them.

Ebay has lost focus.
